798. Oscar Wallace Enloe was born on 14 Feb 1841 in Wisconsin. He died on 8 Sep 1915 in Rewey, Iowa Co., Wisconsin. Oscar Wallace Enloe, born the fourth child of Enoch and Elizabeth Louis a (Kirkpatrick) Enloe, was born 14 February 1841 in Wisconsin. He died 8 S eptember 1915 at Rewey, Wisconsin, and is buried in the Kirkpatrick Cem etery at Rewey, Wisconsin.

He married Mary Zervia Fairbanks, daughter of Olden and Anna Fairbanks i n Platteville, Wisconsin, on 16 April 1865. She was born in 1840 in Il linois and died 16 June 1918. She, too, is buried in the Kirkpatrick C emetery in Rewey, Wisconsin.

Oscar served in the Union Army in the Civil War. He enlisted at Platte ville, Wisconsin, on 12 August 1861 and was mustered at Camp Randall, M adison, Wisconsin. He was twenty years of age and stood just a quarter -inch over six feet. He had black hair and black eyes and a dark compl exion. He was a private in Compy C, 7th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry.

Enloe's pension application papers record that he was wounded in the te stes at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 2 July 1863. He apparently was captu red and paroled by the Confederate Army and sent to Jarvis General Hosp ital in Baltimore. After recovery from that wound, he was wounded agai n, this time at Jericho Ford or North Anna (both are listed), Virginia, i n May 1864. This time it was a serious chest wound and he was in a ser ies of hospitals until September of 1864 when he was at Petersburg, Vir ginia where he was discharged 1 September 1864. He was a corporal. He l ived many years near Rewey, Wisconsin.

There were five children born of the marriage.

He was married to Mary Zervia Fairbanks (daughter of Olden Fairbanks and Anna ???) on 16 Apr 1865 in Platteville, Grant Co., Wisconsin.⁽⁴⁵⁸⁾ Mary Zervia Fairbanks was born in 1840 in Illinois. She died on 16 Jun 1918 in Rewey, Iowa Co., Wisconsin. Oscar Wallace Enloe and Mary Zervia Fairbanks had the following children:
