Anne was the daughter of William Clendennan.

John Kirkpatrick and Ann Clendennan were married on 12 January 1793 in Orange Co., North Carolina. Ann Clendennan, daughter of William Clendennan, was born on 21 June 1772 in Orange Co., North Carolina. She died on 6 August 1823 at the age of 51 in Wilson Co., Tennessee.
