We have a photo, taken in 1929 of Clara's two daughters with her cousins, provided by the Hardy Family Genealogist, John Albert Spade. Clara Estelle Kirkpatrick and Walter Edmund Hardy were married on 12 December 1912 in Evanston, Cook Co., Illinois.268 Walter Edmund Hardy, son of Wallace Hardy and Harriet Myer, was born on 9 May 1882 in Sheldon, Iroquois Co., Illinois.268 He died on 22 November 1958 at the age of 76 in Brownsville, Cameron Co., Texas.268,443 He was buried in Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Cameron Co., Texas.198 Walter Edmund Hardy was an advertising executive in Chicago. He had a heart attack in the 30's or 40's and decided to retire early in South Texas. Clara was a professor of botany and zoology at Northwestern University in Evanston. They retired to San Benito, Cameron Co., Texas in the 1940's, built their own house and lived a good long life. There were two (2) children born of the marriage.
