796. Francis M. Enloe was born on 29 July 1836 in Wisconsin. He died on 22 September 1912 at the age of 76 in New Hartford, Butler Co., Iowa.
Enloe served with Company E, 11th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted as a private and was enrolled at Madison, Wisconsin, 21 September 1861. He was a farmer at the time of his enlistment, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall with dark hair and eyes. He served as a wagon master during part of this duty. He was discharged for medical reasons at Ironton, Missouri, 22 March 1863. He returned to Live at Rewey, Wisconsin, until February 1889 when he moved to New Hartford, Iowa.
