Kirkpatrick was born in 1824 in Bond Co., Illinois.^5,256 She lived in East and West Galena, Jo Daviess Co, Illinois in 1850.⁵ She lived in Belmont, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin in 1860.⁵ Mary lived in Hickory Grove, Grant Co, Wisconsin in 1870.⁵ She lived in Sylvan, Richland Co, , Wisconsin in 1880.⁵ She died on 11 February 1890 at the age of 66 in Sylvan, Richland Co, , Wisconsin.⁵

Mary L. Kirkpatrick and Lewis Williams were married on 18 April 1850 in Grant Co., Wisconsin.¹³⁴ Lewis Williams was born in 1814 in Kentucky.²⁵⁶ He died in Living at Richland Co., Wisconsin in 1880. On the 1860 Census of Belmont Township, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin page 561, Lewis appears with his wife, children and father-in-law.

On the 1880 U. S. Census of Sylvan, Richland Co., Wisconsin, Lewis C. Williams appears with his wife Mary and children Albert, Jesse, Jane E. and Mary A. No occupation is listed for Lewis. Albert is an overseer and Jesse is a laborer.
