On 13 October 1853 she married in Wilson County, John Lewis Barr, son of William Greenfield and Chaney Hannah (Lain) Barr, twin brother of Lousayra Melissa Barr, wife of Rachel's brother William. John Bar was born 18 January 1830 in Wilson County, Tennessee. He enlisted in the Confederate Army during the Civil War and was killed 22 July 1864 in the Battle of Atlanta. Rachel married second in 1870, James Flowers. She died on 22 October 1914 in Wilson County.
