154. John Kirkpatrick was born on 19 July 1799 in Green Co., Kentucky. He was born on 19 July 1799. He died on 18 December 1871 at the age of 72 in Franklin Co., Illinois.

John Kirkpatrick was born in Green County, Kentucky, 19 July 1799 (another source lists his birth as 24 April 1786, but we believe the 1799 date to be correct), and married Edith Mulkey (see entry for John's brother Robert), in Jackson County, Tennessee, 1 July 1821. Edith was born 1804 in Jackson County, Tennessee, and died in May of 1838 in Franklin County, Illinois. She and her sister Ruth were daughters of Rev. Phillip and Ruth (Cole) Mulkey. John married second to Phoebe Ramsey, this time in Franklin County, Illinois. He married a third time to Sarah J. Sims, 30 August 1866. He had no issue by his second and third wives. He died in Franklin County, Illinois, on 18 December 1871.

John Kirkpatrick and Edith Mulkey were married on 1 July 1821 in Jackson Co., Tennessee. Edith Mulkey, daughter of Phillip Mulkey and Ruth Cole, was born in 1804 in Jackson Co., Tennessee.³⁶ She died on 21 May 1838 at the age of 34 in Franklin Co., Illinois.³⁷ She was buried in Old Mulkey Cemetery, Franklin Co., Illinois.³⁶

John Kirkpatrick and Phoebe Ramsey were married between 1839 and 1866 in Franklin Co., Illinois. Phoebe Ramsey was born in 1800 in Virginia.³⁸

John Kirkpatrick and Sarah J. Sims were married on 30 August 1866 in Franklin Co., Illinois.^20,39 Sarah J. Sims was born in 1804 in Georgia.⁴⁰ She died after 1880 at the age of 76. On the 1880 U. S. Census of Osage, Franklin co., Illinois, S. J. Kirkpatric appears in the household of her son G. W. Sims. She is age 76 born in Georgia and a widow. It would seem that she married John Kirkpatrick with her married last name of Sims.
