155. Robert Kirkpatrick was born on 15 December 1806 in Jackson Co., Tennessee. He was born on 15 December 1806. He died on 4 January 1858 at the age of 51.41 Robert was buried in Old Mulkeytown Cemetery, Franklin Co., Illinois.


Robert Kirkpatrick was born 15 December 1806 in Jackson County, Tennessee. He married Ruth Mulkey in Jackson County, Tennessee in 1825. She was born in 1807 in Jackson County, Tennessee. Robert came to Franklin County, Illinois at the same time as his brother John Kirkpatrick, who married Ruth Mulkey's sister Edith. Ruth died in Franklin County, Illinois on 17 June 1843, and is buried in the Old Mulkey Cemetery there. The 1850 census shows Robert with a wife, Polly, so presumably he married a second time. This wife's maiden name is unknown.

One report says that Robert died in Jefferson County, Illinois, in 1872 or 1873 and that his will is on file in that county. Another record reports that he died 4 June 1858 in Franklin County, Illinois and is buried in the Old Mulkey Cemetery with his wife.

There were eleven (11) children born of the first marriage.

Robert Kirkpatrick and Ruth Mulkey were married in 1825 in Jackson Co., Tennessee. Ruth Mulkey, daughter of Phillip Mulkey and Ruth Cole, was born in 1807 in Jackson Co., Tennessee. She died on 17 June 1843 at the age of 36.41 She was buried in Old Mulkeytown Cemetery, Franklin Co., Illinois.41
