Osborn and Mary Opal (Lynch) Osborn. She first married Marion Kirkpatrick, and he preceded her in death in 1996. She later married George Waldron. Norma was a mental health technician at Murray Center Annex in Mt. Vernon and she was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Mr. Jonathan Schnautz officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Norma is survived by two sons, Mark Kirkpatrick of Bonnie, Steven Kirkpatrick and wife Teresa of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Sharon Pabst and husband Leonard of Centralia, Debbie Keele and husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon, Leah Kirkpatrick of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Larry N. Osborn and wife Earlene of Nason; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents, husband, one son, Michael Kirkpatrick, one brother, Marion Osborn, one great grandson, Sean Edward Kirkpatrick, one son-in-law, Bill Whitlock and one daughter-in-law, Wanda Kirkpatrick preceded her in death. Norma taught school in the Upper Hawkins and Mezo one-room schoolhouse during World War II, was a member of Jefferson County Homemaker’s Extension for several years and was a member of Elk Prairie Christian Church. She enjoyed reading and watching movies, and her grand-children were very special to her. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home. Marion E.
