Harold Otis Gorsuch, 71, of Littleton died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Littleton, the son of Otis and Beulah Dupuy Gorsuch. He married Norma Carolee Terry in 1948 in Beardstown. A son, Neil, preceded him in death. Mr. Gorsuch owned and operated Gorsuch Trucking and later Gorsuch Standard Station in Littleton. He then worked at NTN Bower in Macomb, retiring in 1993. He served as village clerk of Littleton from 1965-1967, was a member of the Littleton Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years, retiring in 1990, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Norma Carolee; a son, Michael Harold Gorsuch of Fort Madison, Iowa; and two sisters, Blanche Butcher of Macomb and Clela Sprinkle of Littleton. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Worthington Funeral Home, Rushville, the Rev. Joe Tomich officiating. Burial: Rushville City Cemetery.

LITTLETON -- Harold O. Gorsuch, 71, of Littleton died at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Born Jan. 24, 1928, in Littleton to Otis and Beulah Dupuy Gorsuch, he married Norma Carolee Terry on Dec. 18, 1948, in Beardstown. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Michael of Fort Madison, Iowa; and two sisters, Blanche Butcher of Macomb and Clela Sprinkle of Littleton. One son, Neil, and one brother preceded him in death. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He owned and operated Gorsuch Trucking and later Gorsuch Standard Station in Littleton. He then worked at NTN Bower in Macomb, retiring in 1993. He served as village clerk of Littleton from May 1965 to May 1997. He was a member of the Littleton Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years, retiring in 1990. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. The Rev. Joe Tomich will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Littleton Volunteer Fire Department.
